* Sheila Norgate’s painting, Social Climber. The source for our 2012 festival poster, this gorgeous painting features one of Sheila’s signature corvids in flight. Painting is acrylic on paper, 8” x 10” framed.
* Raven Drum by Stephen Reid and Curtis Mackie. This spectacular drum was crafted for Poetry Gabriola by novelist Stephen Reid, who is also the husband of one of our commissioned poets, Susan Musgrave. Convicted twice for bank robbery, Stephen made the drum at William Head Penitentiary, where he currently resides. Drum is 220 inches in diameter, made from elk hide with spun sinew ties from a traditional Cree family. The frame is hand-milled juniper salvaged off the beach at William Head, with abalone inlay. The raven design is by Curtis Mackie of Alert Bay.
The winner will be drawn on Sunday, February 19th at the Dragon’s Lodge.

Painting is acrylic on paper, 8" x 10" framed. The winner was drawn on the final night of the 2010 Poetry Gabriola Festival; Sunday, November 14, at the Dragon's Lodge: congratulations, Pat!
